Dang Ole Popcorn...and Cats...

I had what I believe to be a wicked sinus infection for a few months now. But this weekend, it got much worse, and I finally had to admit, it was a toothache. A nice hot cup of soup loosened up something around the gumline, and out comes a popcorn kernel. I still have to see my dentist today.
Why have you betrayed me, Popcorn? I have loved you above all other foods!

Here are some pictures of my parents' cats. Why? IDK. Cuz it's the intehwebs!

Toni Pickles (she is named after Tony Iommi, but I am not sure where the Pickles comes from. My dad named her) using DeeDee as a pillow, sleeping on my mother's quilt project (the pink thing) on their table. Mom got them a few weeks ago at the animal shelter.

Beau.  This is his porn star pose. He poops big. Great big poops...Great big stinky poops...

  2. Looks like the cats are very happy. But then, cats usually are happy if quilts are involved!

  4. Brandi, these are wonderful pictures of wonderful kitties. Do your parents or the kitties know that you go around to other sites and call kitties names? And, you ask why the popcorn betrays you? Anyway, I'm really sorry about that. Please thank your Mother for giving the two new kitties a chance. I hope she hears everything that is good and kind in this world telling her "Thank you." Whether we hear it or not, that is what happens when we do good deeds.

  5. My mother is a crappy chooser of pet cats. She always gets the weird ones that are too wiry, lazy, spazzy, or just neurotic. I am lucky. Spider is a dogs cat. He is just fun to be around, even when he isn't fun to be around.
But I am glad she got them at the shelter. DeeDee is psycho and Pickles is very sweet. Beau is just a big eater and pooper and Bug likes to terrorize him. She has not met the new girls yet, but my dad swears that DeeDee will whoop up on Bug. But But is an Alpha female through and through. So I cannot wait til the moment they meet.
I think my dentist charges our insurance per bruise on my bottom lip. I look like a domestic violence victim. When I mentioned it to my dad, he said "Sometimes a bitch just need a smack across the mouth". He thinks he is funny. He also laments that fact that I was not born a boy so he could kick my ass when I was a teenager. I do not mention that if I was a boy, I probably would not NEED to have my ass kicked as a teenager. Teenaged girls are CRAYYYYZEEEEEE....
But my husband says he regrets not beating me early on in our relationship when I was very young and easily influenced. He said my "crazy" done hardened, crusted over, and set in stone as I got older, and now it's just too late to start abusing me physically without dire consequences.
I have no idea what I do to warrant such regret from the two main male influences in my life!!!!

  9. Best thing I ever did was taking the litter box out of the house, all the cats use the pet door, and do their big stinky poops out in the woods, whoohoo.

Came over here form G-Man's and the 55, and perused a bit further.

We have rabbits, but they chewed the house up -- like they're supposed to. (Were in cage only to sleep at night.) Cute little boogers, tho.

    1. THanks for stopping by, Jannie! Our Aunt Jane that comments here frequently is from Austin, too, and is a rabbit slave, as she should be!
