Rabbits In Film - Seven Psychopaths

Excerpts from an interview with Martin McDonagh, about his film Seven Psychopaths:

"I'm a vegetarian and I love animals," he adds, noting that bunnies also figure into his movie's wild tale. "They're cute. I want a rabbit in every room I go into, and every film."

"It was funny, because it was like a company of actors I knew and was friendly with before," says McDonagh. "Tom Waits, I'd almost done something with, as well, so I sent him an e-mail. He said yes, 'There's rabbits? I get to carry a gun?' "
"That's a huge testament to how much he respects the work of yours that he knew," says Farrell.
"Or his love of rabbits," laughs McDonagh

Tom Waits loves his white bunnies. Every good Mad-As-A-March-Hare psychopathic killer should have a bunny to snuggle!

This is a great film. Funny, crazy, and cute.

  2. Brandi, I need a copy of your previous banner lines about bunnies. I love this one. As you know the bunny shelter explains my whole life, but I want a copy of the other ones, too. Please, maybe on the side? Juana

    2. Sorry, Brandi, I didn't really know what to call it. It is the writing at the top of the page. An earlier one gave a beautiful description of rabbits. The current one is about the significance of your three bunnies, the meaningfulness of doing whatever one can do. I know you admire Mother Teresa of Calcutta and I believe she often said that all we can do seems like very little, but if we do not do that very little, something of great value is forever missing. I believe she was referring to the great gift of being a participant in love and healing. Ultimately the healing will come no matter what we and others do or don't do, but we have been given the great honour of standing with Love. She used to say, "I was not called to be successful. I was called to be faithful and to serve.

    3. Wow, I need to try and remember...
They don't bark or meow or moo like a cow, they are silent and shy, pure as the sky, so raise your voice for rabbit-kind, and leave cruelty far behind...

      I think that's it!

  5. Brandi, thank you for your previous banner. How is your weather? I am sort of totally incapacitated, but friends who hear about you from me tell me there have been some bad traffic accidents in Oklahoma. Stay safe. Stay inside, oh, and those prayers for an abundance of the fruits of the earth and seasonable weather. We can no longer get any decent millet. Juana

WHOA, Juana, have you been going to Liturgy on Sundays???

We are OK. People in Oklahoma tend to panic when water, in any form, falls from the sky. A bunch of Chicken Little's, us Okies. The roads were fine, actually.
Thank you for the concern. What are you sick with? You just got over the flu!

  6. I don't know, Brandi. I feel like a Petri dish. One gruesome thing after another. This comes with high fever and headaches. Thanks for asking. Oh, I used to know a Priest from El Paso, and he said the had rain days there.
